How We Got Started

Jhingo Auto Werks was started by Joe Jhingo. After fulfilling his career goals as a civil engineer, he shifted his focus to automotive engineering. He hired a team of ASE-certified technicians and ASE master mechanics. Jhingo has been serving the greater Washington DC area since 1991, and has been at it's current location since 2008.

If another auto shop can't fix your automobile, bring it to us. We love challenges! Jhingo takes pride in overcoming difficult obstacles. The Jhingo team is confident in its ability to solve you automotive problems.

An Environmental Community

In 2009 Decatur Street, where Jhingo Auto Werks is located, received more than one million dollars in funding for Project Green Street. The project's goal was to make Decatur the greenest street on the East coast. Today Decatur Street has LED street lights, storm water retention & filtration, and bicycle and pedestrian accessibility.
